Our 200mm/8" Memory Foam Mattress is made from a 75mm/3" layer of
high density memory foam bonded to a 125mm/5" layer of base foam.
Covered in a soft, stretch cotton cover, which is zipped for easy
removal to allow for washing.
We can also offer thin mattresses to cover your existing mattress
but to get the full benefit, you should consider the 8" mattress.
Viscoelastic memory foam material was originally developed in the
early 1970's at NASA to relieve astronauts of the
incredible G-forces experienced during lift-off.
Memory foam material has a higher density, is much more durable, and
is more responsive to temperature and weight than conventional foam
mattresses.
The cells shift position and reorganize to conform to your body
contours, relieving pressure by evenly distributing your body weight
over the entire surface area.
The viscoelastic characteristic of memory foam pressure relieving
material allows it to return to its original shape after being
forced to change under the pressure exerted by your body.
As the material molds to your shape, your body becomes supported in
an anatomically correct position...with your neck and spine in
perfect alignment.
The proven durability of the material allows for a one-sided
mattress design, eliminating the need to flip or rotate the mattress
Why this is important to you? The material reacts to body
temperature and weight, becoming softer where the body is making the
most contact with the surface and creating a "customized" fit for
any body size or shape. Your body "floats" nearly pressure-free on
the surface, providing for a "weightless" sensation (like floating
on your back in a pool).
